I remember when, when he ran
He fled the grasslands and then became king
He now rests on a throne of clouds
In an empire that spends its time sleeping

He stole some lingonberry jam and a bread knife
Now that he was making his own way, he had to fight
The fire helped him ward off fiends so
He could bid his weary mind good night

While on his way, he met a maid
Her name was signed in honey by the moon
She housed her bees in pine and spruce
That’s why she could sing her dulcet tunes

Her anklets left a trail of sound he still remembers
Every night the sky bows and he hears them tinkle
